The entire film is played by Margot Robbie as the "stereotypical" Barbie, who at the start of the film is going through an existential crisis as she questions her own death, notices that her feet have gone flat, and she has now cellulite. After receiving advice from the weird Barbie, Barbie travels to the real world to find the kid playing with her, who she thinks is the angsty middle schooler Sasha. Unbeknownst to her, she actually has to find Sasha's mother, Gloria.

05. Age rating.

PG-13 So now I'm ready if anything other than "Which Barbie is your favorite" comes up after the movie! That being said, it's up to you whether to take a small child to see Barbie. The film's PG-13 classification was given in response to "suggestive references" and "brief language."
