01. Synopsis .
For ages, the Kingdom of Ravka has been afflicted. Her future is now in the hands of an orphan.The Army has chosen Alina to go with the Grisha, strong magicians who battle the horrible fog that is destroying the earth. During this raid, Alina's childhood buddy comes dangerously near to dying, forcing her to confront her fears and her destiny.
The world of the Grisha is perilous and full of traps. Since the only person Alina could rely on is no longer able to assist her, in whom can she put her trust?

Jessica "Jessie" Mei Li is a British actress who was born in Brighton on August 27, 1995. She gained international recognition by playing the lead role of Alina Starkov in the fantastic Netflix series Shadow and Bone.
In this series : Before it was found that Alina, played by Jessie Mei Li, is a rare Grisha known as a Sun Summoner, she worked as a mapmaker for the First Army. At the conclusion of season 1, she has to rapidly leave her former life behind and transform into the Saint that everyone needs her to be in order to defeat the Fold. Alina spends Season 2 attempting to overthrow the Fold and establish her suitability for the Saint's title after being manipulated by Kirigan.
